Maria Sadek
Director of the Program Management Office, Department of Veterans Affairs
Ms. Maria Sadek is the Director of the Program Management office for Financial Management Business Transformation Service (FMBT) at the Department of Veterans Affairs. She’s lead five successful financial system implementations to date and continues to coordinate and plan the deployment of the iFAMS solution to the rest of VA. She joined the VA in March 2016 to lead and deliver the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act) for the Department.
Ms. Sadek brings more than 20 years of program and project management experience leading complex mission-critical programs both in the private sector and the federal space. For the past 14 years, she’s led large-scale, agency-wide system implementation initiatives, first at Department of Homeland Security and now at Department of Veterans Affairs. At DHS, Ms. Sadek led the successful execution of the first government-wide shared service travel system implementation.
